The Ottoman Charm Necklace takes as its pendant an ancient coin from that empire. It was one under which there was great tolerance of a variety of religions, and, during the so-called Tulip Period, the arts flourished and peace and prosperity reigned. The coin is set on a cable-link necklace.

Handcrafted and individually cast. Each piece is unique, which we believe is what gives it its beauty. Nickel and lead free. Dimensions: Pendant width - 2.6cm, Pendant length - 2.8cm (including bauble), Chain length - 50cm.

Caring for your jewellery

Gold plating is delicate by nature, and does wear over time. To keep your item looking fresh for as long as possible, keep it away from all kinds of moisture - perspiration, humid air, etc, as well as chemicals such as soap, perfume, skin care products. This applies to both wearing the item, and storing it. A silica pouch in the jewellery box can be a great help.

 Far into the future, if you do find that your gold is worn, it can be replated affordably.
